Our client in Mölndal is looking for a junior lab engineer for a temporary consulting assignment. The role is full-time and lasts for six months with the possibility of extension. You will work in a laboratory environment where the focus is on practical product evaluation and quality assurance, rather than molecular analysis. The assignment offers good opportunities to develop skills in project work, method development, and statistical analysis, while becoming part of a cross-functional and experienced team.

As a junior lab engineer, you will work with both practical and theoretical tasks in the laboratory environment. You will participate in innovation projects, value engineering work, and business-supporting activities. The work involves planning and conducting tests, analyzing and statistically evaluating development products and solutions, as well as documenting and presenting test results. You are expected to draw conclusions and provide clear recommendations to various stakeholders. The role also includes developing, evaluating, and validating new laboratory methods.

• Technical university education, preferably in materials or chemical engineering

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment

• Experience in statistical analysis

• Good communication skills and documentation experience in English

• Ability to work both practically and theoretically in a laboratory environment

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates well with others

• Independent but also comfortable working in a team

• Curious, engaged, and solution-oriented

Meritorious:

• Experience in method development within laboratory operations

• Experience working in innovation or development projects

The assignment is on-site in Mölndal with no possibility for remote work. The employment rate is full-time and the assignment period runs from March 9, 2026, to September 9, 2026, with a possible extension.
